Bakery Zavertaylo Damaged in Kyiv Due to Attack
In Kyiv, the bakery-cafe "Zavertaylo," located near St. Sophia Cathedral, was damaged as a result of a rocket and drone attack by the Russian army. Co-founder Stanislav Zavertaylo reported the incident on Instagram, expressing concern for the guests and the team of the establishment. The bakery, which opened in April 2023 at 24a Volodymyrska Street, is currently closed. Information about the extent of the damage and possible casualties is being clarified. This is already the third strike on Zavertaylo establishments since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In August 2025, the Honey confectionery on 25 Zhylianska Street was almost completely destroyed, having been opened with investments of about 12-15 million hryvnias. Recovery at that time required at least 200,000 euros. In May of this year, the bakery-cafe "Zavertaylo" in Podil also suffered from an attack. Stanislav and Anna Zavertaylo are developing two gastronomic chains in Kyiv, including the Honey confectioneries and the "Zavertaylo" bakeries, which consist of four establishments.
