While Bitcoin continues to hover around $64,000, funding rates in derivative markets have reached their highest level in nearly 20 months. This indicates an increased appetite for leveraged long positions. The funding rate refers to periodic payments made between long and short positions in futures trading. A positive trend suggests that long position holders are paying the counterpart, indicating a prevailing bullish expectation. The current trend reveals that the majority of investors are taking upward positions. Although Bitcoin has gained strength after dropping below $60,000, it remains below the significant resistance level of $66,300. Short-term moving averages are found between $63,700 and $63,900. Defending the range between $60,000 and $62,000 weakens the expectation of a new sharp decline. The RSI has risen above the 50 threshold, approaching 52. However, the increase in the funding rate indicates a concentration of long positions. This situation could create a counter effect if support levels are lost. If Bitcoin breaks below its current support structure, highly leveraged long positions may face liquidation pressure. In a broader technical outlook, Bitcoin remains below the long-term average around $71,500 and the mid-term average at $66,300. Until these levels are surpassed, it is difficult to say that the overall trend has turned bullish.
