The Federal Revenue Service of Brazil (RFB) has released the declared volume of cryptocurrencies by Brazilians for the first half of 2026, totaling R$ 283 billion, a 21% increase compared to the first half of 2025, which was R$ 233 billion. Compared to the second half of 2025, which had R$ 276 billion, there was a growth of 2.5%. Despite the market downturn, Brazilian investors have increased their trading with cryptocurrencies. The data reflects the situation before the implementation of DeCripto, which began on July 1, 2026. Among CNPJ numbers, there was a monthly increase in declarations, surpassing 100,000 unique Brazilian companies. The report also showed an increase in women's participation in operations, rising from 29% to 31%, with a 16% increase in the value of transactions. The most traded cryptocurrencies were Tether (USDT), Bitcoin (BTC), USDC, Ethereum (ETH), and XRP.
