Cathie Wood discussed the comparison between CRCL (Circle) and Visa and Mastercard on X, pointing out that CRCL has risen 84% since its IPO. She stated that the public stock market exhibits inefficiencies in the short term, and many financial services analysts, having built their reputations by long-term tracking of Visa and Mastercard, find it difficult to understand Circle, the disruptor. Since Mastercard and Visa went public in 2006 and 2008, respectively, their stock prices have increased approximately 150 times and 33 times, allowing analysts to reap substantial profits. Wood emphasized that it is the underlying technology that disrupts the traditional order, not the logic of analysts, and CRCL should become the core beneficiary of this transformation.
