DRAM Industry Revenue Increased by 59.5% Quarter-on-Quarter in Q2 2026

In the second quarter of 2026, the overall revenue of the DRAM industry increased by 59.5% quarter-on-quarter, reaching approximately $154.73 billion, primarily driven by a significant rise in contract prices for general-purpose DRAM. The continuous growth in AI demand, particularly for LLM model training and AI inference, has stimulated the demand for AI servers, leading to simultaneous increases in shipments of HBM3e, LPDDR5X, and high-capacity RDIMMs. Additionally, the application of Agentic AI has further boosted the procurement demand for RDIMMs of various capacities. On the supply side, DRAM manufacturers' inventories are at low levels, and new production capacity is prioritized for the server market, resulting in only a slight increase in overall DRAM bit shipments in the second quarter, with the pace of supply expansion still lagging behind the demand growth driven by applications such as AI.
