Etherscan has expanded its developer tool flow by integrating with GitMyABI to convert the ABI of verified smart contracts into installable npm packages and TypeScript bindings. GitMyABI introduces the Etherscan integration as 'live' on its official site, stating that the SDK can be installed from the Cards tab on the verified contract page. The ABI is a JSON document that contains the specifications of functions, events, input values, and output values exposed by a smart contract, allowing dApps to communicate with the contract through this ABI. GitMyABI aims to absorb this intermediate step into npm packages and TypeScript bindings, enabling developers to install the verified contract interface in package form and connect it to their code. Related distributions, such as @gitmyabi/cli, are available on the public npm, along with automatically generated type packages. This integration contributes to improving the developer experience, expanding the contract page from merely viewing verified source code and ABI to a package distribution point that connects directly to development code. However, as it relies on the npm ecosystem, managing package sources, version locking, and distribution permissions is crucial. GitMyABI provides the service 'as is' and does not guarantee the accuracy of the ABI or uninterrupted operation.
