Hyperliquid Strategies Raises Equity Financing Limit to $2.5 Billion
Hyperliquid Strategies has increased its equity financing limit with Chardan Capital Markets from $1 billion to $2.5 billion. The agreement allows Chardan to purchase newly issued common stock of Hyperliquid Strategies in phases based on pricing, trading volume, and other conditions, and to resell it in the public market. Hyperliquid Strategies has raised $647 million through this financing mechanism, expanding its treasury holdings to approximately 29.3 million HYPE tokens. The $2.5 billion is the maximum limit for this mechanism and does not represent the funds already raised; issuing new shares may dilute the equity of existing shareholders. Hyperliquid Strategies stated that while it shares the same name and holds the native token of Hyperliquid, it operates independently and has no affiliation with Hyperliquid.
