Jensen Huang Identifies Cybersecurity as AI's Next Major Market
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, has pointed to cybersecurity as the next major market for artificial intelligence (AI). He explained that as AI models automate programming, the speed of code attacks and fixes will accelerate, making changes in the cybersecurity industry inevitable. At the Goldman Sachs Technology Conference held in San Francisco on the 10th, CEO Huang stated, "Cybersecurity is likely to be the next major use case for AI." He countered concerns that NVIDIA's AI investments and transactions could distort the market by asserting that they invest only after confirming actual customer demand. CEO Huang anticipates that advancements in AI technology will significantly transform the cybersecurity industry, adding that new problems will create new demands. NVIDIA is expanding its influence in the AI sector by acquiring AI startup Hugging Face for approximately $13 billion. CEO Huang emphasized that NVIDIA's investment decisions are based on customer demand, stating, "We invest a little money and get back a lot more, so it's not cyclical."
