On August 17, Kweichow Moutai's stock price opened down 3.9%, falling below 1300 yuan, with the A-share liquor sector experiencing a general decline. The exit of Central Huijin and the China Securities Finance Corporation from the top ten shareholders of Kweichow Moutai led to market reactions. On August 14, Kweichow Moutai released its semi-annual report for 2026, showing a revenue of 90.703 billion yuan in the first half, a year-on-year increase of 1.47%, but the net profit attributable to shareholders was 44.517 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.95%, marking the first decline in half-year net profit in many years. Central Huijin and the China Securities Finance Corporation held approximately 10.3971 million shares and 4.0375 million shares, respectively, at the end of the first quarter, but by the end of the second quarter, they had fallen below the threshold for the top ten shareholders. Their exit from the list does not mean a complete sell-off, as they may still hold a small number of shares. Additionally, Duan Yongping stated on social media that he is willing to bet 100 million yuan with any domestic fund, provided that the winner donates to a recognized cause, with a plan lasting ten years.
