Lee Jae-myung May Meet Lee Jae-yong This Week to Discuss Semiconductor and AI Projects
South Korean President Lee Jae-myung may meet with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong this week to discuss South Korea's three major super projects centered on semiconductors and artificial intelligence. A few days ago, Lee Jae-myung met with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won. Sources indicate that Lee Jae-myung may also hold talks with Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Chung Eui-sun. This meeting is drawing attention as the United States is urging South Korea to increase its investments in the U.S. semiconductor industry. South Korea's Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, Lee Chang-yang, stated that South Korea has not yet held talks with Washington on related issues.
