One third of Americans agree that Washington should continue the war against Iran, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll published on Monday. This is the lowest level of support for the conflict since public opinion on military intervention began to be measured. The conflict will reach five months this Tuesday and is experiencing its lowest support among the American population. The survey also revealed that Donald Trump's positive image rose slightly to 37%, although it remains one of the lowest percentages of his presidency, just over two months before the legislative elections on November 3. Additionally, 69% of Americans, including four out of ten Republican voters, believe that Trump did not clearly explain the objectives of the military intervention in Iran. The president has modified the official discourse on the purpose of the offensive against Tehran several times.
