Quantus Launches Mainnet and Announces 430 QTPS Performance on September 9
Quantus has launched its quantum-resistant mainnet on September 9. The mainnet applies quantum-resistant signatures and zero-knowledge proof-based architecture from the genesis block, and according to the official white paper, the genesis date of the mainnet is September 9. The mainnet chain settings and Quantus Coin (QTC) runtime release have been made public on GitHub. Since the mainnet went live, the actual number of users and transaction volume have not been confirmed. The core cryptographic technology is based on the ML-DSA digital signature standard, which will be finalized by NIST in 2024, and is applied for transaction signatures and node authentication. Concerns have been raised that signatures on existing networks could be attacked once quantum computers reach sufficient scale. Quantus adopted a quantum-resistant structure from the beginning, and the size of the ML-DSA-87 signature is approximately 4627 bytes, which is larger than existing signatures. The performance of encrypted transaction processing is 430 QTPS, which is a network metric disclosed by the project. The total supply is 21 million, with 23% allocated to investors and the team. The audit involved NeoDime, Eiger, HashClock, and others, and further verification is needed for the actual throughput of the mainnet and the QTC distribution structure.
