On the night of August 18, Moscow and the Moscow region were attacked by 637 drones, of which 180 were shot down. The Governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, reported fires and destruction in several districts. In the Bogorodsky district, a warehouse of Wildberries caught fire, and the staff was evacuated. In Pavlovsky Posad, the roof of an apartment building was set ablaze, a private house burned down in the village of Kuznetsy, and a trade pavilion and the registry office building were damaged in Kolomna. As a result of damage to electrical network equipment, 109 transformer substations were left without electricity, and more than 5,000 consumers and 46 social facilities in the Likino-Dulevo and Orekhovo-Zuyevo districts also lost power. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 791 drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight. The damage from destroyed goods in Wildberries warehouses reached nearly $6 billion, while direct losses for the online retailer are estimated at 100-200 billion rubles.
