One of the central conclusions was that advance planning matters more than trying to predict the exact moment when quantum computing becomes a live threat. Attendees said early research and coordination could reduce the risk of rushed upgrades or disorderly migrations later.
No consensus emerged around a preferred post-quantum solution. According to the event summary, competing approaches still involve trade-offs around security, transaction data size, hardware performance, key management and the difficulty of user migration. The discussion also highlighted that any Bitcoin response would need to account for how keys and assets are generated, stored, backed up and transferred across retail and institutional setups.
