Ámbito Debate and an Event Focused on the Future: Innovation and Artificial Intelligence

Ámbito Debate presents a new event dedicated to Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, a space designed for companies to share their advancements in the field, as well as the challenges and opportunities they identify in the country, their current projects, and their vision for the future.

The new installment of the series will take place on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Dow Argentina Auditorium and will be streamed live on Ámbito's YouTube channel and on the Ámbito website. Subsequent notes will also be available, covering all developments and their repercussions.

The day will be divided into three panels, where representatives from the automotive, pharmaceutical, chemical, and technology sectors, among others, will present the main initiatives of their organizations regarding innovation and Artificial Intelligence, two topics that occupy the hours of the country’s top executives.

The opening panel will be moderated by the editor-in-chief of Ámbito, Ariel Basile. Participants will include the CTO of Autopistas Urbanas Sociedad Anónima (AUSA), Federico Larrory; the Chief Data Analytics Officer at Naranja X, Gisele Cabrera; the Systems Manager at Mercedes Benz Trucks and Buses, Ignacio Bidart; and the operations director of Philip Morris Argentina, Diego Martínez.

Meanwhile, the second panel will be led by economic journalist Nazarena Lomagno, who will interview the Director of Clinical Research at MSD, Diana Zubiri; the Channel Sales Manager for Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Bolivia at Motorola Solutions, Sebastian Osterc; and the Director of Industrial Solutions at Dow for the Southern Region, Beatriz Nieto.

Zubiri will emphasize how pharmaceutical innovation develops and the role of clinical studies in transforming scientific discoveries into innovative treatments for patients. She will also discuss the strategic position Argentina holds for MSD and the investment of $67 million that the company made last year in the country, among other topics.

Osterc will talk about the history of innovation at Motorola Solutions, a company with nearly 100 years of experience and 30 years of presence in Argentina, regarding how AI is integrated into the company’s various products. He will also review milestones in innovation.

Nieto will discuss the challenges Dow faces in feeding a growing population, driving the energy transition, and making increasingly efficient use of resources, in a trajectory of over 125 years of experience and global presence, which allows them to combine scale, technical knowledge, and closeness to the needs of each market.

Finally, Ariel Basile will moderate the closing panel, featuring Atilio Lucarelli, Data Manager at BBVA Argentina; Maximiliano Ignaciuk, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of BYMA; and Pablo Fiuza, President of the Argentine Software Industry Chamber.

Lucarelli will explain the priority the bank gives to innovation projects that involve high costs and need to be undertaken. He will also discuss what it means to take a data platform to the cloud, how to transition from isolated projects to reusable capabilities, and how to combine global scale with local needs.

For his part, **Ignaciuk will share his expertise on the context of the capital markets, the evolution of the Argentine capital market infrastructure, and the technological context. He will also analyze his projections and refer to BYMA clearing.

In this way, Ámbito Debate promotes the exchange between some of the country’s leading companies, aiming to understand the concerns, perspectives, and outlook regarding the country and its future from key sectors.
