DeepSeek API Recovery, V4 Flash Accounts for 70%

V4 Flash accounted for 70% of the usage in agent operations, highlighting model performance and API operational stability as key variables. DeepSeek announced that the issue has been resolved on their service status page. The start time of the outage, the scope of impact, and the error rate were not disclosed. DeepSeek officially released the V4 Flash API on July 31, transitioning to public beta. V4 Flash is a mixture of experts model with a total of 284 billion parameters and 13 billion active parameters, with a context length of 1 million tokens. OpenRouter analyzed 450 trillion token request logs on June 30 and reported that V4 Flash accounted for 70% of the DeepSeek agent workload as of the end of May. The minimum endpoint costs were presented as $0.09 per million tokens for input and $0.18 for output. Concerns about speed and stability have been raised in the developer community, with reports from the LINUX DO forum indicating that only 1 out of 5 requests succeeded during tests of V4 Flash, with an output speed of 12.8 tokens per second. The AI API can be utilized for trading bots, on-chain data summarization, customer support automation, etc., and increased call delays or errors could affect service quality.
