Israel and UAE Hold Secret Talks to Coordinate Response to Iran, Netanyahu Calls Meeting with Trump Excellent
Israeli and Emirati officials recently held multiple rounds of secret meetings in a third country whose name has not been disclosed, discussing the coordination of their positions and joint actions regarding Iran. The UAE has strongly opposed the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, believing that the agreement could give Iran time to improve its economic situation without yielding substantial concessions. The two sides also discussed coordinating measures against Iran in international organizations and agreed that any actions should be communicated in advance with the Trump administration. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that he had an excellent meeting with US President Trump on the 28th local time, and that both sides remain aligned on the common goal of ensuring that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons, calling the talks one of the most profound and best dialogues he has had with the US president.
