YPF will carry out a stock split at the local level, modifying the trading price starting this Monday and reflecting in investors' accounts from tomorrow. The operation consists of dividing each existing share into ten new nominal values, reducing the unit price of YPFD in the same proportion, without altering the economic value of each shareholder's position. The goal is to facilitate access to the asset and increase its liquidity in the market. This Monday, the price of YPFD with a 24-hour settlement began trading at a value ten times lower than in previous sessions, although the new units have not yet been credited to investors' accounts. The effective change will occur on Tuesday, August 4, when for each share an investor holds, Caja de Valores will automatically credit ten nominal values at no cost. This mechanism does not imply any gain or loss for the holder; the total value of the position remains unchanged. The process will conclude on Wednesday, the 5th, when the new balance resulting from the split becomes visible in the Caja de Valores Investors app. There will also be an adjustment in the ADR ratio, which will change to 1:10. This move is interpreted as a modification of the nominal structure of the stock, aiming for a lower unit price to attract new investors and increase liquidity.
